NEW LINE OF URETHANE COVERED BEARINGS
Fairlane® Products has expanding its current roller offering with a new line of standard,
stocked Urethane Covered Bearings.
While covered bearings (also commonly referred to as molded bearings) are not a new
product – most users have to get these parts custom made - which means long lead times,
up front tooling cost and high minimum quantities. Fairlane has created a line of standard sizes
and now stock these products as an alternative to custom made rollers. These products are
not designed for any one use or industry. Covered bearings are used anywhere there is product
or part movement. They allow for transferring power or guiding without damaging the product
or part and are used in the manufacturing process as well as on end products.
These covered bearings are available with outside diameters ranging from 1.00” to 3.00” with
widths ranging from 5/16” up to 1-1/8”. These parts are available with both a single and double
bearing option with bearing ID sizes ranging from 1/4” to 1.00”. While these are our standard
stocked sizes, we are capable of making modifications to fit your application.
Fairlane offers most parts in three durometers - 35, 60 and 95. As a point of reference, 35 durometer
is similar to pencil eraser, 60 durometer is similar to an auto tire and 95 durometer is similar
to a hockey puck in hardness.
All covered bearing are available with or without mounting hardware. The stud mount style comes
complete with a button head cap screw, lock nut and spacer. Custom mounting hardware options
are available.

ABRASIVE DIAMOND SURFACE GRIPPERS PROVIDE NON-SLIP GRIPPING WITH MINIMAL FORCE
The new Abrasive Diamond Surface Grippers from Fairlane® Products feature an abrasive
diamond surface (comparable to that of 100 grit sandpaper), which is bonded permanently
to a stainless steel pad. This provides excellent non-slip gripping on smooth or slippery
surfaces with minimal clamping force and surface marking. The individual diamond particles
transfer holding pressure to a very small and well-distributed area, as well as provide
unparalleled wear resistance. These high-strength grippers are available in various sizes
and configurations suitable for a variety of workholding applications.
Diamond Surface fixed grippers, available in counter-bored and tapped versions, range in
diameter from 5/16” to 1”, and from 8mm to 25mm. The gripper base material is hardened 17-4
stainless steel, providing high strength as well as protection against chemical and
environmental corrosion.
Replaceable Ball Swivots®, swivel-positioning grippers are available in base, hex head, and
threaded body versions, with contact diameters ranging from 6mm to 21mm. The Swivot ball
material is 303 stainless steel, providing strength and protection against chemical and
environmental corrosion.
Thrust Screws, allowing straight-line static load thrust ideal for irregular shaped or
contoured applications, are available in threaded and headed versions, with contact diameters

SOF-TOP™ URETHANE GRIPPERS PROVIDE SECURE HOLDING PLUS SURFACE PROTECTION
The non-marking, non-staining Sof-Top grippers feature a bubbled urethane surface that
provides for superior non-slip grip. The “bubbled” texture of the urethane top offers firm
holding and allows air to escape so no suction is created between the contact surface and
the top of the rest pad as it is compressed. The urethane surface, which offers superior
abrasion and wear resistance, is available in three durometers (strength ratings).
Sof-Top grippers are available in several sizes and mounting configurations to meet a wide
array of application needs. With the fixed gripper configuration, the urethane surface is
permanently bonded to a 300 series stainless steel pad. They are blind-hole tapped for back
side mounting and are offered in sizes ranging from 5/16” to 1” (8-25 mm).
The replaceable swivel ball configuration, available in sizes from 3/8” to 5/16” (10-24 mm),
features a cylindrical body that allows for installation in tight areas. The replaceable ball
swivels to allow for self-alignment on uneven surfaces. A Viton O-ring holds the ball in place
while keeping contaminants out and providing smooth ball movement. The housing is made from a
smooth alloy steel; heat treated to Rc 43/46 with a black oxide finish and is tapped for
backside fastening.
The thrust screw assembly configuration, available in sizes from 3/8” to 5/16” (10-24 mm),
allows straight-line static load thrust without transmitting torsional or radial force to
the contact area. The free-floating ball design allows the thrust screw to continue to rotate
while the ball remains stationary against the contact surface. This configuration is ideal
for irregular shaped or contoured applications. The housing is made from alloy steel, heat
treated to RC 43/46 with a black oxide finish.

FAIRLANE NOW OFFERING A COMPLETE LINE OF METRIC QUICK RELEASE BALL LOCK PINS
Fairlane Products has recently expanded their line of quick release ball lock pins, now
offering a full line of metric sizes in all of their different handle configurations.
Quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment
applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed offering
secure and safe fastening. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the pin
allowing the pin to be inserted or removed into or out of a hole.
Because they are positive locking, they can replace traditional fasteners such as nuts and
bolts, cotter pins, hitch pins, etc. They also allow the user to insert and remove the pins
without the use of tools making them ideal for field work and quick change operations.
The new metric pins are available with a 17-4 shank material to meet a wide range of application
needs.
17-4 Stainless Steel – Made from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel, they are designed for
applications where higher shear strengths are required. Because they are made from stainless
steel, they offer superior corrosion resistance over alloy steel. This combination of strength
and corrosion resistance makes it a good choice for a wide range of demanding applications.
There are seven standard handle styles. Standard aluminum handles are available in Ring,
Button, T, and L configurations. In addition to the aluminum handles, there are three standard
styles of stainless steel handles which include the Ring, Button and Recessed Nautical configurations.
All the metric pins are compliant to RoHS requirements.

These positive locking quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating,
and alignment applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed.
Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the shank allowing the pin to be inserted or
removed into or out of a hole. They are ideal for field applications and quick change operations
because they are installed and removed without the use of tools.
The newest addition to the Fairlane quick release ball lock pin line is the new nautical style pins,
featuring a recessed actuating button which helps to prevent accidental release of the pin. These
nautical pins are also equipped with a small hole on the handle for attaching split rings or lanyard
assemblies. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, these pins are well suited for harsh conditions.
